Hawkstone Solutions range of boiler water products are designed for efficient, cost-effective and reliable operation of industrial boiler systems.

There are three common problems that are associated with boiler water:

Boiler Water Corrosion: High temperatures mixed with dissolved oxygen and a low pH can cause a corrosive effect for internal surfaces of boilers.

Scale formation: The compounds that form scale act on retrograde solubility—they are less soluble at high temperatures.  When these compounds deposit on the heat-transfer surfaces of boilers, higher heat flux is generated and tube failures increase. This creates a loss of efficiency and needs proper treatment and control.

Condensate corrosion: Because it becomes corrosive from the formation of carbonic acid, steam condensate needs to be properly treated.

Steam condensate can be treated through a variety of means, both chemical and mechanical. Oxygen levels, scale formation and condensate corrosivity are controlled through deareators, demineralizers, and by keeping feedwater chemistry at a safe level.
